Champion of Champions Tournament 2012

Today I am bringing you the Champion of Champions Tournament. This post will also represent my final post from the 2012-2013 sports season. Instead of posting only 1 half of football per day for a week I am going to go ahead and run through the entire Champion of Champions Tournament from beginning to ending in one mega post.

The Champion of Champions Tournament is a tournament designed to match up the different champions from all the different levels of football that I enjoy and follow on a regular basis. The Junior College Champion, the NCAA Division I Champion, the NCAA Division II Champion, the NFL Champion, and of course the Hammer Tournament Champion. The pre-seeding, points forced, points allowed, and quality wins will be treated exactly the same way that they were in the Hammer Tournament and also the Mock NCAA DI Tournament.

Here is a list of the 2012 participants and also their pre-seeding rankings:

#1 Junior College Champion – Iowa Western (12-0)

#2 Division I Champion – Alabama (13-1)

#3 Division II Champion – Valdosta State (12-2)

#4 Hammer Tournament Champion – Oklahoma (12-3)

#5 NFL Champion – Baltimore (14-6)

Just like before the level of play will be balanced across the board and all 5 teams will be playing against teams that have an equal level of play against a team that they would face in their own league. No one has an advantage over the other.

Here is your Champion of Champions Tournament Bracket:

Incredible. A junior college team has defeated the National Football League Champion. A rocking 29 points in the 4th quarter easily puts Baltimore away. At one point Baltimore was leading 19 to 0. Iowa Western comes back and scores 64 unanswered points.

And finally we come to the championship game of the Champion of Champions Tournament. These two teams are the absolute best teams in all of football. We have watched as the Hammer Tournament Champions went down in the wild card game. We watched the NFL Champion get stomped against a junior college team. Then finally we watched an amazing matchup between Division I and Division II teams with the Division II Champion going down. Now we have David, Junior College Champion Iowa Western, Vs Goliath, Division I Champion Alabama. In the words of my favorite sports drink: Here we go.

WOW! Alabama led 14 to 7 at the half but Iowa Western came roaring back in the second half. That is the most points scored in a single game in Champion of Champions Tournament history.

Congratulations to Junior College Champion Iowa Western for winning Champion of Champions Bowl II.

This concludes my 2012-2013 sports season. I want to thank all my readers for your support. If it wasn’t for you then this wouldn’t be any fun at all. The 2013-2014 sports season begins with the Kansas City Royals and T-Bones spring training. See you then.
