August 10, 1821 – Missouri becomes a state

December 29, 1845 – Texas becomes a state

September 10, 1960 – First game as Dallas Texans (Lost to Los Angeles Chargers 20 to 21)

September 16, 1960 – First win as Dallas Texans (Defeated Oakland Raiders 34 to 16)

October 1, 1961 – 10th win as Dallas Texans (Defeated Houston Oilers 26 to 21)

November 25, 1962 – Won first ever Division Championship (Defeated Oakland Raiders 35 to 7) Kansas City has won 9 Division Championship to date

December 23, 1962 – Won first ever League Championship (Defeated Houston Oilers 20 to 17) Kansas City has won 2 League Championships to date

September 7, 1963 – First game/win as Kansas City Chiefs (Defeated Denver Broncos 59 to 7)

January 15, 1967 – Played in first ever Super Bowl (Lost to Green Bay Packers 10 to 35)

January 11, 1970 – First Super Bowl Victory, also first AFC team to win the Super Bowl (Defeated Minnesota Vikings 23 to 7)

September 26, 1971 – 100th franchise win (Defeated Houston Oilers 20 to 16)

December 19, 1971 – Final regular season game played in Municipal Stadium (Defeated Buffalo Bills 22 to 9)

December 25, 1971 – Final game played in Municipal Stadium also only post-season football game ever played at Municipal Stadium (Lost to Miami Dolphins 24 to 27)

August 12, 1972 – First exhibition game played in Arrowhead Stadium (Defeated St. Louis Cardinals 24 to 14)

September 17, 1972 – First regulation game played in Arrowhead Stadium (Lost to Miami Dolphins 10 to 20)

September 25, 1972 – First win in Arrowhead Stadium (Defeated New Orleans Saints 20 to 17)

December 14, 1974 – Hank Stram’s final game as Head Coach of the Kansas City Chiefs (Lost to Minnesota Vikings 15 to 35) His 124-76-10 record as the winningest coach of the Dallas Texans / Kansas City Chiefs still stands today

December 14, 1986 – 200th franchise win (Defeated Denver Broncos 37 to 10)

November 11, 1990 – Kansas City Defensive End Derrick Thomas sets the franchise record for 7 quarterback sacks in a single game

October 26, 1997 – 300th franchise win (Defeated St. Louis Rams 28 to 20)

November 28, 2010 – 400th franchise win (Defeated Seattle Seahawks 42 to 24)
