End of 1967 Season – The Kansas City Athletics moved to Oakland.

April 8, 1969 – First win. (Defeated the Minnesota Twins 4-3 in 12 innings)

1971 – First winning season.

1973 – Adopted iconic “powder blue” road uniforms.

1973 – Moved from Municipal Stadium to Royals Stadium. (now known as Kauffman Stadium)

1976 – The Royals won the first of three straight Western Division Championships.

1980 – Won first League Championship (Defeated the New York Yankees in a 3 game sweep)

1980 – Royals reached the World Series for first time (Lost to Philadelphia Phillies)

1981 – Major League Baseball strike.

July 24, 1983 – Pine Tar Incident.

1985 – Won first World Series. (Defeated St. Louis Cardinals)

1994 – Major League Baseball strike.

2002 – Lost 100 games for first time in franchise history.

2013 – First winning season since 2003
